Переглядів 10Рік тому
A short video taken from the home end (the Rainham End) at Gillingham of the Gills vs Os game when Orient won promotion to League 1. Gillingham also secured their safety from relegation in a 2-0 win in which there was plenty of drama. Orient had a player controversially sent off after 14 mins, there was a power cut in the local area after 77 mins so the players had to leave the pitch. On their ...

Karen brings back a challenging treat from her night out with friends for birthday boy Geoff to try but he doesn't seem very impressed!

From the 2006 album, Flat-Pack Philosophy This is not my property - it was written by Pete Shelley and performed and recorded by Buzzcocks, the best band in the world imho.

All the crunchies I ate are my faves
Good video. Abysmal music overlay!
No texan bars!!!
But did you like looking at all the other bars?!
32 years ago today. I will never get over losing my beloved Grandad ❤
That song is beyond annoying and put me off the video
Well don't listen to it then. Have you got a mute button?
I didn’t want to mute. It’s so bad I had to listen! 😂
What?? No Ice Break bar??!!😢
I loved Bar Six, but please Geoff, lose the stupid music 😱😱
Happy to drop the music. Be grateful for some suggestions please!
Only a few pence for most of these and they were still making a profit 🤷♂️
Drifters deffo not 1970s
Correct! Launched in 1980. Can you ever forgive me?
My weekly pocket money was 50p as a kid in the early 70s...you could buy a shed load of sweets & chocolate bars for that ... happy days 😋❤️
I used to get 19½p per week for my pocket money in the early 1970s!
Where's the cabana, banjos, nutty bars, texan bars, toffees, they were the best
The good days of the UK. Not like the mess it's in now. 🏴🏴
I need Blackcurrant Toffos to come back!!!!!!
I used to love how he says "Teeyoooon-zahh" at the end while the ticket vendor stares at him like he's an absolute nutter
😂😂😂😂
I love caramac eating one rn tho
SUCK TUNES
Chriddof
😢😢😢makes me sad that we won't have the package or the bars JUST LOOK AT THE PRICES 😂😂😂
Can anyone remember Alphabet sweets that were in a small box?
The problem is, some people misheard "sucking" in the advert as the F word.
10p mix please sir
I WAS ONLY 4 YEAES OLD IN 1970 WHEN THIS GOT TO NUMBER 1 IN CHARTS THEY DON'T LIKE IT UP UM THEY DONT LIKE IT UP EM! R.I.P CLIVE DUNN ( LANCE CORPRAL JONES AND GRANDAD
Anybody remember the fizzy covered red 'Cola Cubes' shown in the clip? I loved them, and the chewy buterscoth sweets, no-one seems to remember them or Treats 😢
Thanks for the upload and nostalgia. As a child in the UK in the 70's & 80's most of my pocket money went on sweets and chocolate bars, many i'd forgotten..untill now. I'm suprised that all the comments arent from the UK though. Maybee we exported chocolate bars to other parts of the world? But your clips make me😮 proud to be British when times were MUCH simpler,. Rmember 3p bars of chocolate and 1/2 p Mojos😅😅 👍👍😊☮️
I noticed Jane Freeman, oh and is that Robin Parkinson by the way?? ✌️😙
Bazooka with the little waxy cartoon. Aaaah happy days ☺️
When Polos had personality
Mouth watering
There was a Cadbury bar my mom was fond of when we lived in the UK in the early 70's that Ive not been able to find anything about. It had an alcohol content so wasn't available here in the US. I think it was a Seville bar but I'm not sure, any leads would be appreciated. Myself, I like the ones most kids weren't into, like Fry's Milk Chocolate Turkish delight, mint Aero bars and Rowntree Macintosh fruit gums as I wasn't much one for nuts, nougat or caramel. I suppose my taste came about from being the last to get into the chocolate box during the holidays so was more likely to get the fruit, mint and less desired pieces. I hate that Nestle bought Cadbury, hope they don't make English choccies too much like the brown wax that is Hersheys, lol.
Thanks for your post! I vaguely remember the bar of chocolate you refer to. I wasn't allowed it either because it was too expensive or because it had orange liqueur in it! It was called Grande Seville. I agree completely about the different taste palettes between UK and America.
I think the Old Jamaica bar shown in the video had traces of rum in it.
So much chocolate, so little time…
@@CarlB_1962 😂 😂 😂
Grande Seville was still avaiable in the UK up to the end of the 80s.
I wish we could all these chocolate bars n sweets back 😊
Loved every chocolate 🍫 bars & sweets in the 70s & packaging 😊 when chocolate was chocolate 😊 sadly even Kit Kat taste awful & looks nothing like chocolate.
I used to buy Smash Hits regularly around the time (I would have been 12 or 13) as it was usually very good for providing printed lyrics for chart songs. I had this disc and the accompanying magazine, now sadly long gone. Thanks for the memory :)
You're welcome. Thanks for your post
Exactly the same here
Simply Brilliant. Thank ou !
Thank you for appreciating my little mash-up! Most comments simply point out minor flaws or to point out what's missing! So thank you for taking the time to comment and for cheering me up!
Wow! Counters ….
I remember a candy called Fizz Wiz candy, they were tge same size as PEZ candy but you got twice as many per pack haven't seen them since 1981
Milk Tray Bar, Texan, Cabana.....
Number 9 was a brilliant theme tune. Very prog rock 😆
I loved 'Tales of the Unexpected' as a kid, then they started doing American ones which weren't as good.
Remember when you could actually buy a chocolate bar for pennies? I traveled by train a lot in my early twenties. There were Nestle vending machines on the platform. Chunky chocolate bars in various varieties for 10p.
No "Quartet"??
Disappointed not to see my personal favourite: Blackcurrant Toffos !
So many people unhappy with missing favourites! If I'd included EVERYTHING then the mash up would have been a few hours long lol 😂 OK thanks for watching
Banjo
Those prices!
Tiffen , Bar Six, and Swisskit. Oh the joy to have these as a kid. I might have missed , but did not see Caramellow bar. I used to have one out of the vending machine in Heath Town baths after a swim. Happy simple day's compared to the hi tech isolation that we have today.
Do anyone remember graham sandwich bars and 5 star bars
I remember most of them! ... It's a "Golden Wonder" I still have all my own teeth! 😂
Lol 😂
I love quoting this from the film The Straight Story by David Lynch. "Hey Alvin, what's the worst thing about being old?" The reply "Remembering when you were young"
2p 3p everything for nothing now ye have mortgages!
